"The Conversation You Should Have With Your AI (And Why It Matters)"
Most people use AI like a vending machine: insert prompt, get result.
That's not how you get the best out of it.
Here's what actually works:
Think of AI like a consultant or team member. You wouldn't give a consultant vague instructions once and expect magic. You'd have a conversation.
Example:
"Write an email to a prospect”
A better way:
"Write an email to a home service customer who requested a quote 2 weeks ago but hasn't responded. They're price-sensitive. I want them to feel valued, not pushed. Keep it under 100 words."
The second one gets you 10x better results because it has context. AI thrives on context.
Real examples:
"I'm struggling with X. Here's what I've tried. What am I missing?"
"This client has Y situation. Here’s what I know. What else should I consider?"
"Draft this for me, but make it sound like me. I’m direct and funny, but professional.”
The conversation improves the output. Your clarity improves your results.
Spend 2 minutes writing a good prompt. You'll get 10x better results and save 10 minutes of editing.
That's the trick.
